I'll piggyback on the beauty of celebrating milestones with friends in all stages of life. This week I celebrated via text messages with two friends whose young daughters celebrated birthdays (2 years old and 7 years old.) So precious to see these moms beaming and basking in the parenting! This week, also by text, I communicated with a friend who is celebrating 50 years of marriage. What a feat! And what a joy to be able to "be" with her in this sweet moment. As much as technology is a headache for me, it also affords me these heartfelt connections.

Thanks for sharing, Lori! You make a good point about technology. Despite its many downsides, it does allow us to share connections with those we hold dear!

I love this! #1 and #5 remind me of how are I am always telling the girls that their 'circle' of people is just beginning to grow. They have so many new friends to make! I think about the people I have met post college that have influenced my life and how like you mention, they are all different ages and backgrounds. I have "picked" people up at all my jobs, the kid's schools, church, neighbors, etc. It is fun to reflect on that and the ways in which they have all touched our lives. Thanks for reminding us to look at the good news!

I love this Mary. We tend to be bombard with negative news and yet there is so much good in the world and so much to pause and be grateful for. Thank you for reminding me to take time to enjoy the beauty.
