And this year Sept 2 is a dark moon and Sept 3 is a new moon. New moons are new beginnings, setting new intentions.
For me, I have the mantra to "begin again" in any moment. Each moment is an opportunity to begin again. I find it useful in my daily life. In this sense beginning again refers more to getting back up when I fallen down, when I have strayed from the intended path.
However, as you and I have spoken of before, perhaps I have a habit of starting too many things. Volunteering, a new exercise regime, a new job, a new friendship, a new hobby. So many interests. Where to place my attention, time and energy? What are my priorities? Am I able to focus? More questions than answers. Living the questions! xo
Ohhh - good info about the moons! Also - that's an excellent point about starting too many things. I do that....so many interesting options, so little time. I am, however, finding it easier to narrow down my priorities these days.
Love this! As the school year starts I’m definitely inclined to realign to healthier habits and kick the bad ones - less screen time, more reading, mindfulness, outdoor time, etc. This was a great reminder/inspiration! :)
Yes, begin again! With the end of summer, I also felt like it was a good time to restart some healthy living habits. I have started a log where I can hold myself accountable on some daily eating and exercise goals....hope it helps! Fall always seems like a good time to add some structure to my life after the summer shenanigans. :)
That sounds like a great idea, Sara. Accountability of some sort always helps with any goal. I like the idea of adding "structure" in September - it vibes with the back-to-school timing. Thanks for sharing!
I'm wrong. September 1st *is* the first day of meteorological fall. Oops! Always learning...
