So glad the Wednesday morning commute was 'only' a minor inconvenience and not something more! "The key is find what you enjoy".....I think my creative outlet is baking. The outcomes aren't always great, but I enjoy the process and I love that I can share my creations! I recently received some paint by numbers as gifts - I am hoping to enjoy the process but am not convinced the product will not be great. :) I will keep you posted!

Thanks for sharing, Sara. Your sweet treats are always very tasty, so I'm glad you enjoy the creative process of baking! Those of us on the receiving end definitely benefit. :)

I'll be curious to hear about the paint by numbers. Please do keep me posted. I sometimes "color by number" on my iPad and find it a soothing and meditative process.

Mary, So glad to hear that you are okay. The winter roads make me nervous. Lori shared some great painting meditation cards with me when I visited for the New Year. I haven't had time to try them yet. Maybe you would enjoy them too. Also, I mentioned in a previous comment about a workshop I did with amy friend and you asked for more info. It was a meditation program called iRest. She just notified me she is fully certified. As for me, not sure what I would consider my creative outlet. Don't consider myself very creative. I like making photo books on Shutterfly. I'm trying to build more puzzles. Focusing on puzzle pieces keeps my mind from wandering.

Thanks, Sandy. Yes, the roads have been messy for a few weeks now. I hope the ice and snow melt with a warm-up of temperatures.

I'm curious about the painting meditation cards. You'll have to let me know more, or I'll ask Lori. Thanks also for sharing about iRest; I'll look it up. As far as not considering yourself creative, I think *everyone* is creative. Making photo books is certainly a creative pursuit! Problem-solving is a creative task too, and I'm sure you do that lots. Thanks for commenting here and have a good week!

Mary, So funny that you and Sandy were already having a conversation about those color meditation cards! I did order some for you a couple of days ago and hope you get them in the mail soon. :-)

I remember reading this post the day it came out and thinking that I should respond and even post a photo of our recent creativity center on the kitchen table - colored pencils with small sheets of paper and paint brushes with watercolors nearby. There are a few creations around the house, too.

I don't think I am artistic but I like to play and that is creative. My friend Maria says everyone is creative in their own way and I think she is right.

I agree with Maria! Everyone is creative in their own way. I love the idea of the creativity center on the kitchen table. That makes the materials - and creativity - so much more accessible. And I look forward to seeing the color meditation cards. Thanks, Lori!
