Beautiful pictures - glad you were able to enjoy some extra days in Colorado! Your writing reminded me of a recent weekend when I had the house to myself for 2 days....not something that has ever happened (that I can remember). The 'spaciousness' was so odd at first, but so refreshing!

Thanks, Sara! I sure loved Colorado. And that's a good example of spaciousness. It's fun when everyone's around, but it's also nice to have the house to ourselves at times.

Mary, It has been so long since I have commented, though I have been reading. I'd say that I haven't written because I haven't had the space - neither time nor mental. The word spaciousness caught my attention this morning. I will reread and think about this some more. I feel like I am in a place right now where I am searching out spaciousness. I am on a journey to find space in my life for me. The fast pace and busyness of life has had me overwhelmed for too long. I am working on relearning habits and changing my inner dialogue so that they reflect my best interests. A friend and I were discussing life and the new focus and direction we are finding. I mentioned that perhaps this was our mid-life crisis. She responded with "I think this is mid-life perspective." I love that! I'm not in a crisis. I am taking stock and evaluating where I am at and where I want to be. Taking stock of my priorities and how they have shifted and changed and adjusting my alignment.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Sandy! And yes to what you wrote! I love the idea of mid-life perspective. That feels accurate to me. It's not a crisis but rather a shift in the way we see and prioritize. I'm so glad that you're taking stock and trying to find space in your life for you. I'd love to chat more soon! In the meantime...best wishes on the journey. xo
